Upon receipt, I opened the box and was immediately impressed! As I pulled the Bucket Buddy
out of the box, I began to imagine the thousands of times that I could have used this item in the past. For many years, I hauled around my duck decoys in 5 gallon buckets, fitted with a wooden lid that
was held down by a piece of shock cord. Pattern SHADOWGRASS by MossyOak, available especially for duck hunters.
 Bucket Buddy moves this much used,
(by me) product to a level I had never imagined. On my shipping receipt, John, from The Bucket Buddy Company, had noted that the one sent for testing did not have the sealable lid that most of the
other models did. We found this to be an item that was a "make sure you get" the sealable lid, when purchasing you Bucket Buddy. 2 runs down the beach and one
courageous swim by my wife, but we kept the lid with us through the trip.
Packing the system to prepare for the trip, I was impressed with the actual
room that is available with all the outside storage pockets and removable fanny pack. The design and construction of the outer cover is of very high
quality material and well made. Even with repeated use, I feel this product will provide the user with many fine years of service.
Inside, you'll find a Styrofoam cooler insert that fills approximately 3/4th's of
the 5 gallon bucket. It comes complete with a lid to cover the cold storage area, leaving you ample room for additional item between the cooler area
and inside bottom of the seat. The cold storage area easily holds a six pack of soda, ice and a few sandwiches and snacks. Putting items that are
prone to get crushed, on top of the cold storage and then putting the lid on provides safe haven for pretty delicate items.
With a little organization in packing, we found the PAC-A-LOT system easy
to use and find our gear, once we had landed on the beach. It also comes with a should strap for ease in carrying, but we found a little pad would have
been a nice addition also. Loaded down, the system did justify some additional padding for the strap. We did have an occasion shoulder strap
snap come disconnected from the bucket, and will be recommending to the manufacture to look at maybe adding in a simple ring from the bucket, for
the strap to attach to to see if this will resolve this minor inconvenience.

Features to be aware of:
- Make sure you get a model with a sealable lid.
- The shoulder strap was a bit uncomfortable when loaded
- Shoulder strap had the occasion to pop off. (Easily corrected)
