If you are like me, identifying watefowl can be a real challange. I just don't get to spend the time in the field that I would like when it comes to waterfowl season each year. I hope to change that this season, but
time and plans often change no matter if we like it or not. Being able to properly identify ducks and geese can be a real benefit when the Game Warden pays you a visit and keep you out of a heap of trouble. These
pocket sized reference cards are durable and water resistant. Each card contains the common and proper name of each species, average size, top speed, food, voice, formation and identifying markings to help you
quickly identify waterfowl as it flies in.
Ident-I-Cards to the rescue!
The Ident-I-Card Company designs and develops practical accessories to help educate the novice or veteran sportsman and to help comply with today's
complex fish and game regulations.
We are a family owned and operated business that is devoted only to hunting and fishing. Bill was the founder and as an avid fisherman and hunter, recognized the
need for help with identification in the field. This originally came about while fishing on Lake Michigan for the first time. After catching what he thought was a
coho salmon, he was amazed that it turned out to be a steelhead. Other fishermen were not sure and even the local conservation officer got it wrong.
Starting with the Great Lakes Salmon & Trout, Bill went on to create Fish Ident-I-Cards as a pocket-sized and waterproof source of accurate and positive
identification of freshwater fish. Later, Waterfowl Ident-I-Cards were created and even a card to aid a deer hunter in field dressing a deer. The newest product is
the Fish IDZ, a set of 48 fish identification trading cards designed especially for the younger anglers.
Bill is retired from his regular job now and spends much of his time fishing and hunting. He is still active in the marketing and sales of Ident-I-Cards, but his
daughter Debbie and her husband Jim really run the show. The distribution of our products has been primarily in the upper Midwest, until January when we
decided to put together a web site and offer the products on a national basis.
Ensure you know what your shooting at in the blind this season and care a set of Ident-I-Cards with you!
